I've been up since 4 AM. It is raining steadily. Dark and cold. I want to go back to bed, but its actually time to get up. Even the dogs are still in bed. This day already sucks.
Getting to work should be interesting. We left a little early yesterday because there is a lake in our drive. I'm wondering if it is even passable this morning. When the sun decides to rise, I'll have to put on my mucks and walk down to the beach to see if our two tons of sand is still there.
Last night I had tuna fish and avacado for supper, and pecan pie for desert. I read a good bit of Atlas Shrugged. Oh god. I'm so boring.
If I were creating art right now, I would be using an india ink medium - blacks and browns. It would be a picture of a Louisiana Bayou. It would be suggestive, with not a lot of detail. I don't know why.
Don't you love the sound of the rain when you are inside, toasty, dry and warm? My neighbor's gutter sounds like a waterfall. Kinda nice. Washin away the topsoil.Ooops. There's the alarm, time to get up. Our morning radio station is a radio broadcast of TV news. Paul found it. Its the news out of Rhode Island, so we hear what happened in Providence last night, or traffic issues there. The reporters are terrible. There is one woman who breathlessly, in many different octaves, tries to make the story of the dog rescued from the river sound like the coming of the apocolypse. I've never turned on the TV to see what she looks like, and thats okay. I like my own imagination there. It changes to Good Morning America or one of those national morning news shows after the Rhode Island news is (thankfully) over. I used to have the alarm set to NPR. I love listening to NPR, but doom and gloom in the morning was not the best way to wake up. Kinda bummed me out, before I even had coffee.
So here's wishing everyone has a better day than mine is shaping into. I hope PT is feeling okay if not great, and nobody honks at her today. I hope H gets his 3 mile walk in and sings to the world. I hope X has better luck with her new phone system at work than she had yesterday. And I hope V successfully makes it through one more day.
Peace and stay dry.

If you're boring, I don't even want to know what I am. I hate the world being soggy. But we soooo needed it. Everything is getting so wonderfully green!!
It's 8:30 pm your time, I hope you are fast asleep.
I've been trying to root avocado pits for about 2 months now, no success. Everytime we buy one I save the pit and stick the bottom in water. No luck-ever tried it?
