Alrighty Then -

Yesterday, while some of us at work were outside on the front steps having a smoke, a little Tacoma pickup raced down our drive. A roly poly man in a short sleeved shirt and shorts stepped out of the vehicle.

Him: It's cold this morning!

Me: No it's not, you're just not dressed right.

Him: (as he walked by us to enter the building) You should quit smoking, I quit five years ago. It's not good for you.

Me: (mumbling, as the door closed behind him) And you traded hot dogs and doughnuts for cigarettes.

Some days are like that. I just can't keep my mouth closed. Like the world deserves to hear my every thought. Some days are just like that.

Today's agenda includes car hunting for Sean. There are lots of choices out there. Paul has some inquiries in for VIN numbers so we can check out Carfax. Depending on the replies, we may be taking some road trips later this evening or tomorrow.

Yesterday it was discovered that one of my larger kidney stones wishes to leave the nest. Lithotripsy in my future, scheduled for a couple weeks. They wanted to do it next week, but I'll be in Maine. Although I've had ten plus lithotripsies over the years, I haven't had this type - the extracorporeal type.

Breaking news: Paul got some info on a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer ES this morning, that is for sale in Mystic. Looks good so far, and seeing as I'm up, dressed and ready for this day, I asked if he was willing to set up a look see for this morning. (He has golf at noon, so it would be a tight fit).

Speaking of golf. I learned this week that the name golf is actually an anachronism. G.O.L.F. Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden.

Probably because of PMS. Get us outside with blunt weapons, and we may just cause a little damage.

I've played a couple times. I could see where I'm wired to get obsessed about this game, so avoided it for years because I could not afford an obsession that takes up so much time and money. I always thought it would be something for later in life. That would be when I retire, which is still scads of depressing years away. I can't wait til I don't have to go to work.

Good hiking weekend, this weekend. I think that will be penciled in for tomorrow's agenda. We have a pile of wood down at the beach that we want to burn up. It will make a nice fall bonfire. Heads up - tentative plans for hike, slow cooked chili and a bonfire one Saturday soon.

Peace

The extracorporeal type will go fine. The drugs do the trick although the first few wee-wee's following it are a little scary. Not so much pain wise, it just looks bad too. Dark brown-red so be prepared. The drugs will minimize the shock, but not the shock to a person like say N who was with me as I was a tiny bit unsteady. The Twighlight anesthesia sometimes makes me more loopy than general. Please let me know the day and time. I am happy to transport you and stay with you if you would like Elf. Please ask. I do want to help.

Ahhh a fall bonfire, can we invite the hotdogs and doughnuts guy who no longer smokes? Oh! and lets drive golf balls into the fire.

I like your new setup here, especially the 'cheeky quotes' and 'useless knowledge'
