Because it was raining pretty hard and consistently today, Sean didn't have to go to work cleaning up the site. He also doesn't have school on Fridays. Soooo, he got his plates at the DMV, all on his own, (with my money). He had the REAL title, and the insurance was effective today. Success.
He is now the proud owner of the 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer, ES. Black. 4 cylinder. Automatic. 4 door. I know you think I did good, H. But I can buy a car, that is not a problem. I just don't know WHAT I'm buying. I don't know anything about cars. I don't know if I bought a lemon, I don't know how to tell or what to look for. That is why I didn't want to. I wanted to defer that to someone who is more knowledgeable than I. So, I have my fingers crossed that the transmision isn't about to fall out, and the seller isn't chuckling all the way to the bank.
Now if he could only land a real job, we could all take a deep breath.
I get to pick up my honey in a few hours. We'll stop for dinner on the way home from the airport.
The week flew by. I didn't have much of a chance to miss him this trip. I'm always more comfortable when he is home, though. I told him about the raccoon. He said "Uh oh, we'd better get rid of him."

He said "Uh oh, we'd better get rid of him."Embarrassingly, I am a tree hugging, liberal, bleeding heart. We can't get rid of the raccoon. By my way of thinking that is like getting rid of Bob and Nan. He lives here too, and we'll just have to learn how to live side by side with him. He's probably been here for years and we didn't even know.
When Paul said what he said, I stopped in shocked silence. He always recognizes that pregnant silence of mine as the wide open door to a disagreement, and I know there is a discussion ahead of us. When it comes to animals and plants, well, as I stated, I am a tree hugger. Thats probably my most feminine quality.
Mind you, I don't believe in feeding birds or any other wild animal, or treating them like pets. I just believe in sharing our world.
Peace, my friends.

You know I agree with you re: getting "rid" of something that is just trying to co-exist. But let's face it...Bob and Nan are gone Mom....
