Nowhere To Hide

My mailperson, whom I do not know, knows more about me than my doctor.

He/she not only knows where I live, but knows where I bank, that I have my credit card through Chase, and an ING account. Mail from the hospital, surveys and such, along with an increase of HealthNet envelopes would indicate a recent illness. NPR membership renewal notices show that we like to listen to public radio, making one of us most likely a liberal. Since republican propaganda comes to Paul, it probably isn't him. Our credit is probably good from all the credit card invitations. That we give to charities, most specifically Salvation Army.

This person knows that Paul is a coin collector and graduated from UCONN, and also that he is in the electrical field. And that I am a member of the Project Management Institute. Our vehicle insurance from USAA would show that at least one of us served in the military.

Occasional mail from California indicates that we have friends/relatives there. That we watch NetFlix. Occasional mail from MN to Sean indicates that he is most likely Paul's stepchild, and further deductions would naturally progress to this being at least my second marriage, since Sean has a different name. The plethora of college brochures easily shows Sean to be of advanced teen aged years. A recent thank you card from X, return adddress stating "from the best daughter ever" lets him know that I have a daughter in Middletown, and because the name is different than mine or even Sean's, a reasonable but erroneous deduction would be that she has taken on a married name. Nothing in the mail to any other children here, such as Ranger Rick or Parenting magazines or Christmas cards says that we are at least middle aged, with Sean probably being the youngest of the children.

Our mailperson knows which dentist we use, and when we go, and what veterinarian we use - also indicating that we have pets.

Thats a lot of stuff to know about people you don't know. It's a little creepy, if you ask me.

Peace
