I Didn't Even Like My Grandmother

So I finally broke down and got new glasses.  I hate them.  Not how they look on me, but how things look when they're on me.
It definitely was time to have a good eye check up.  I've been using readers for years.  Once I started seeing flocks of birds in the distance until they flew closer and realized there was in fact only ONE bird, I thought this could be a dicey thing.

With my new and improved eyesight, I look in the mirror and whereas before when I did I thought I was seeing my mother, I am now clearly seeing my grandmother, bless her heart.  And bless mine, too.

I THOUGHT my house was clean, but holy heck.  My windows really need a good washing, and the baseboards!  Where did those spots and all that dust suddenly arrive from??

Another thing.  I now have a new thing to keep track of and take care of.  I've been TRYING to simplify.

You know what would be a really great invention?  Glasses that helped us see differing points of view.  Or glasses that scrolled the answers to our current dilemmas.  We could take this a step further and have hearing aids which generated phrases like, "you're the best!"  or "nobody can top that!".  Or, here's an idea, a hearing aid with a translator, so we could understand different languages?

Okay now,
my little man is announcing his awakeness from his nap...insistently

Peace,
Elfscooter.
