Christmas Eve. I managed to finish everything I can remember by about 2pm. Picked up the few remaining items at Kohls. Gotta tell you, the parking lots REALLY scare me. The line for checking out was very long. I can't remember ever having to shop on Christmas Eve before. Yikes.
Thought I didn't have too much to wrap this year, so left it all til last minute. I think I do that every year. It was more than I bargained for. And some of the gifts will have a complimentary strand or two of hair because I didn't tie my hair back, and it kept falling forward JUST as I was putting that piece of tape down.
Now that I think everything is in place I'm looking forward to the day tomorrow. I only wish Gabe were here, but it is what it is. We'll have fun, but we will miss him. I found a package from Alex's family on my doorstep when I came home - that is cool. Alex wanted to come spend some time with us this past summer and have Sean go back to Barcelona with him to spend some time there, but Sean's circumstances didn't make that a good idea and we had to cancel kinda late in the day. I thought they had written us off, so it is nice to hear from them. AND I opened my inbox and found a message from Sasha! Since she spent a couple Chrismases ago with us, I remember her strongly around this time, so that was really nice. I hadn't heard from her since she returned to Russia. I told Paul that we should get Alex and Sasha together. They are both great kids.
Paul is nervous about giving me what he got me. Hmmmmmmmmm.....
So tomorrow we'll visit and eat. We'll open packages. I remembered to take the prices off the dogs/cats' gifts. Hope they don't want to return.
Blessings on all -
Peace
