First, I'm pulling 48.1 mpg's out of my car. That excites me.
Second, I remembered how I remembered the vet appointment this morning -
Driving along, la di da di da di da...
Noticed that there were about 4 calves in the sunflower patch across from Buttonwoods...now this area is roped off, I don't know if by electric fence or not. All the big cows were on the other side of the rope, but these four calves. It was like they were being naughty and I chuckled. One calf was actually frollicking, too cute.
So, chuckling along and I noticed the new little sign in front of the Preston Elementary school. "Vote Today". Vote? Oh yeah, on the big sign was a notice that the referendum vote was June 3rd. June 3rd? OH YEAH, today is JUNE 3rd!! The pets have their appointment today!!
And that's how I remembered. That was bugging me.
Then, X called me up and said "You have brown sugar."
"I do? I thought I did, but I couldn't find it."
"Did you check downstairs? I am pretty sure I saw it when I was looking for the Splenda"
"Thats where I thought it was, too. But I looked and didn't see it."
I checked again, and sure enough. One half bag of light brown sugar, and a full bag of dark brown. Well, polish me jimmies, What is going on with my brain?
Time to load up for the vet appointment. Find the cat. Downstairs is the best place, and sure enough, there he was, curled up in a fine morning nap. He did not appreciate being woken up to be stuffed into his crate. Sorry little buddy. I swear, he started making yowling noises that sounded like "help me, help...."
I decided that since I only had two hands and the dogs alone are a handful, to put Nikko in a crate, too. Getting that crate into the car was some hard work. I scratched the dash, too. Ooops. Its a big crate and I'm a little person, so she was slipping and sliding and crashing into the walls which made it wobble up and down, further causing her to dip and crash into front, then the back, then the front. Poor thing. She's so cool, though. She took it like a trooper.
Rocko wasn't too difficult. Of course he rolled over and peed when I went to pick him up. Nice.
They are all healthy. El Nino is down a pound, Nikko up a half pound. Rocko the same...14 pounds. Kudos from the vet for their conditions, especially Nikko who is in amazing condition for her age. He said whatever I'm doing, keep on doing. Its working well. Nikko goes in in two weeks for teeth cleaning. The technician cringed when she gave me my total for the visit, shots and products. But it's done. Off the plate for another year.
So on with the rest of this fine day -
Peace and sunshine

Memory like a titanium bear trap!
A little freaky that X knows EXACTLY the inventory of your pantry.
What would you do without her and where can I get one?
Elf,
One of those animals bit me, but I can't remember which one...it wasn't the cat, that I would remember....we were playing dominos...he was snuggling me, then I reached down to give him a pat-and he clamped down until X told him to let go...now why on earth did he want to bite me and not N??? I attributed it to a red fleece thing I was wearing-maybe he hates red?
My point, glad they are all healthy but will I be following my Saturday visit? I am a little afraid. Anyway we could teach him to go for N this time-If I recall correctly, she mercilessly teased me as I usually have this doctor doolittle type attraction with animals-they seem to love me.....
Hints? X? Which dog was it?
Just for smiles-Paige
