Sunflowers and Rain

Am home now, but lots of time in the truck on the way, driving real slow through a big storm. And here are a few of my observations:
I want to be a mower when I grow up. I want to sit on a big mower and mow the highway medians. I want to put earphones on and sing and sing and sing and mow the median.

I followed a big dump truck with a big orange sign posted on the back - "Construction Vehicle Do Not Follow".

It poured, torrentially. Made driving difficult and traffic was moving at 40 mph. The standing water scared the bejeezus out of me when the truck would wrench out of my hands as I suddenly and unexpectedly hit a bit of it. Massachusettes was the worst. I passed a Student Driver...poor thing.

Got home to puddles inside the house. My boy didn't think to close the windows. There is a big gully in the beach where it washed out and evidence elsewhere of really fast moving streams.

I swung by the sunflowers to see if maybe they were sitting where the sky was still black from the storm, but no. I took some pics anyway - they are not great. This is one field of four. H is a way better photographer than I. If I remember correctly, he took a class back in the day??

Peace, my friends.

I laughed out loud at the dump truck sign...

And MOWING?????????? I seriously thought about pitching that to you as a business idea. Just two chicks mowing rich people's yards. We can hire Sean to weed wack.

Welcome home, dahling.....

Amazing pictures-for some reason I had not realized that you were talking fields of sunflowers...so I am pretty awe-struck-something about that word doesn't look right but it is really early so I will forgive myself.

Glad you are home, and I love the visual I get of you on a mower in the median singing. It might help me to refrain from becoming upset with the plumber's ass types who hold the position at present and just seem to always do one or two risky things as I pass as if tempting fate. Not only their fate however-hence the irritation.

Thanks Elf-You Rock. Paige
