Long Drive Short Thinking

I just recieved my 25th call regarding the second notice about my car's warranty.

There was a sign posted on the highway on my way here - "Plows Be Cautious". Damn those risk taking plows. Glad that issue was finally adressed.

A deer was in the highway median. Poor thing. Makes one wonder what exactly luck is. I mean, was that deer in fact lucky to have made it across the first time?

I pulled into my regular stop to use the facilities. An ancient, fragile and bent man was taking a wheel chair out of the back of the mini van. The plates were from Nova Scotia. H opened the passenger door and was trying to help an equally ancient woman out. I walked across the parking lot, found the women's room, a clean (ish) stall, did the do, washed my hands, shook them dry, and strolled liesurely back out. The elderly couple were no further ahead than when I went in, and I gotta tell you - I'm not that fast. So, when do you think they began their journey from Nova Scotia? New Year's?

I cruised past a catering truck. The name was advertised on the side; "Fat Belly Catering". On the back they told us, "Sooner or Later everybody will have a Fat Belly." Someone's sense of humor is worse than mine.

Okay, you guys. Just wanted to pop in. I am hoping X & Mel are having a blast with their new love, Echo. I can't wait to meet her. I am hoping that Sadie's ear infection is better, and her moms are doing well too. I wish for V lots and lots of strength, and a new best friend. Not to replace the old one, but to help her through. I am hoping Foo makes it through the flood. I am hoping Rearview is enjoying the serenity of a quiet house. Oh wait, the dogs are there. And I am here where there are no barking dogs. :)
****************************
I love you all.

Peace
